My Journey At Dropshipping And Why I Have Decided To Take Udacity Digital Marketing Nanodegree Program

Graduating from university, and struggling to find a job after graduation is a challenge for every newly graduated student and I am no exception so let me tell you my story!
Right after I graduated from university my first dream is to have a job and become financially stable and independent, however, this is not what happened, I graduated in 2019

when the coronavirus pandemic started to take place the lockdown and all the measures that were taken to control the spread of the virus in my country forced a lot of businesses to be shut down and of course, it was hard for me to find a decent job, the impact of the pandemic lasted for 2 years.
in 2022 the world started to heal from such a pandemic after the fast production and distribution of the vaccine, and the lockdown and the measures started to get lifted, I had so much hope that 2022 is gonna be my year, however, as you guys know that's the year when the Russian Ukrainian war kicked off.

this war caused a lot of damage in the world the high rise of food supplies price the inflation skyrocketing the shortage of foreign reserves in developing countries and once again my dream of getting a decent job and becoming financially stable and independent is being demolished in front of my eyes

However, I was desperately surfing the internet I came across a video that was talking about types of online income I thought that was an interesting topic the video was discussing so many ways to make money online but only one term caught my attention which is dropshipping!
So what is dropshipping? Dropshipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn’t keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, it purchases the item from a third party and has it shipped directly to the customer. As a result, the seller doesn’t have to handle the product directly.
The biggest difference between dropshipping and the standard retail model is that the selling merchant doesn’t stock or own inventory. Instead, the seller purchases inventory as needed from a third party—usually a wholesaler or manufacturer—to fulfill orders.
Once I learned about drop shipping and its idea I couldn't get any more excited so without hesitation, I started looking for a niche that I like and was interested in at the same time for those who don't know me I am a cat person I love cats so much so I started my online dropshipping store in cat pet product niche.
I was really excited and I started to list a lot of cat products in my online store I kept working at it until I thought it was ready for customers to visit it to scroll through products and make a purchase and once I was done with my online store I started my marketing campaign full of hope and ambition that I will make a lot of sales and I will make a lot of money.
However, what I expected didn't happen not a single person made a purchase the number of people who visited my website was so low I almost had 10 visitors per week I was once again so disappointed I didn't what's wrong I tried so many different marketing campaigns on different social media platforms and tried to improve my search engine optimization but with no results.
and then someday when I was desperately surfing the internet a came across a video talking about udacity nano degree program and for some I got interested I thought I might find my answer there with no hesitation I visited udacity website searching for a nano degree program in digital marketing because I thought that's the area where I was lacking to make my cat pet online dropshipping store to succeed, I enrolled to the udacity digital marketing nano degree program and I was surprised of so many things that I saw and figure out about digital marketing.
I figured out so many terms and so many strategies that I didn't know in digital marketing I learned about the customer journey, how to tell a story using pixel framework and SCQA, I also learned about URL shorteners, UI UX, UTM, I also learned about so many different social media platforms and which content works the best for each platform, I also learned how to manage social media marketing campaigns, how to optimize it and how to measure its impact and so many things.
i was so surprised about how ignorant I was about digital marketing and no wonder why my online store failed to make any sales the udacity digital marketing nano degree program helped me to understand all of this and now I can't wait to graduate from it and try all of the strategies that I have learned to improve my online store performance and make a good income.
